COACHING
A fun, supportive mini community helping you to achieve your goals
Designed for introverts, by introverts
Peer coaching provides many of the benefits of traditional one to one coaching such as support to explore ideas, set goals, accountability and taking action towards your goals, but at a fraction of the cost.
A key advantage of peer coaching is the diversity of perspectives it brings. Instead of input from just one person, you gain insights from a group of people, each with unique experiences and ideas. This can help you to think outside the box, see challenges from different angles and find creative solutions that you may not have thought of before.
Earlier this year, after struggling with burnout, I made the decision to take a leap into the unknown and leave my full time job to take a 6 month break to restore and re-evaluate the direction I wanted to take. Throughout this time, I worked on building my business, began training in nature based therapy and focused on creating art whilst working through the 12 week ‘Artists Way’ course. I had fortnightly coaching which provided me structure, time to reflect and kept me focused on my goals.
I have participated in peer coaching groups and have always found immense value in learning from other people’s experiences. I created an online Mastermind with some of my peers and we have been meeting regularly for over 3 years. I have experience in facilitating sharing circles specifically catered for introverts who may not feel comfortable in typical group settings.
As someone who strongly identifies as an introvert, it has been challenging to navigate both work and social life in environments which primarily value more extroverted personality traits. It has taken me many years to recognise and develop my own strengths and talents. I hope to help you discover yours too!
My journey into coaching began with my discovery of personality theory - I find it fascinating how different we all are, especially in relation to the way we work and the roles that best suit us. I had some really impactful career coaching in my early twenties, and not long afterwards took on co-leadership of a personality theory meetup, supporting others in exploring who they are and what works for them. I then trained to be a certified coach myself.
I was forever being told to raise my hand and speak up more at school. I only really understood my introversion in hindsight. Falling into working in the tech sector I discovered many other thoughtful quiet types, and an environment I enjoyed. I now love to get involved with running events, and making sure these are inclusive and welcoming for all personality types.
I really value iterative and experimental agile working and seeing what a team can achieve in a fixed time, with regular check ins and reflection. I strongly believe these techniques can be just as helpful in our personal lives. I’m also a big fan of Lego Serious Play and the Bullet Journal - playful and structured methods respectively to help identify and achieve personal goals. I love a good vision board or crafting exercise too!
